ENTERING THE SPEEDWAY

Luggage check
Please note that all bags and personal items will be subject to inspection at the entrance. Ensure you're aware of which items are allowed and which should be left behind—this includes fan merchandise, food, and beverages. We strongly advise against attempting to bring prohibited items into the venue. Any unauthorized items will be confiscated and discarded. In serious cases, violators may face a ban from the venue.

Tickets and entry
A valid ticket is required to access the racetrack, and it can be presented in either electronic or printed form. We recommend storing your ticket on your mobile device for easy access, but it's always a good idea to carry a printed backup, just in case. If everything goes smoothly, you may not need to take it out at all.

Tickets are best purchased online, which only takes a few minutes. Don’t wait too long—some ticket types are already sold out! Options include seated tickets, general admission, or natural grandstand tickets without seat reservations.

Re-entry
If you plan to leave the venue and return on the same day, you must have your ticket re-tagged by security before exiting. Failure to do so will prevent you from re-entering. For a smooth experience, make sure to have your ticket ready for revalidation when leaving the venue.

Parking

If you're attending the Daytona 500, parking can be challenging due to the large crowd, but there are several options for parking around Daytona International Speedway—both paid and unpaid. Here's a breakdown of what's available:

On-site parking at Daytona International Speedway

  • General Parking: These lots are available around the Speedway, but they tend to fill up quickly. They offer the most affordable parking, though you may need to park further away and walk a bit.
  • Preferred Parking: Closer to the track than general parking, these spots are more expensive but provide easier access to the entrances.
  • VIP Parking: These spots are located closest to the entrance, making it the most convenient (and expensive) option.

Unpaid or free parking options

  • Public Street Parking: There may be some free or low-cost public street parking options near the Speedway, especially a little further out. Keep in mind that these spaces can fill up quickly, and you may have to walk some distance to get to the track. Some nearby neighbourhoods may have limited street parking available, but be aware that parking regulations are strictly enforced, and you could be ticketed or towed if you're not careful.
  • Public Transportation or Ridesharing: While not typically "free" parking, using public transportation or ridesharing services like Uber or Lyft can be a cost-effective alternative to parking. You can be dropped off near the entrances to the Speedway, and it avoids the hassle of parking altogether. Ridesharing can also be a good option for those who are staying in Daytona Beach and don’t want to worry about parking at all.
