RULES FOR VISITORS

As with other NASCAR events, Daytona 500 visitors must abide by the rules set by the organisers. Below you will find a basic overview of them:

WHAT ITEMS ARE PROHIBITED?

Items that may cause property damage, disrupt the event, or create safety hazards for the public are prohibited by law. This also applies to any merchandise or tickets intended for resale. All event attendees will be subject to a security screening upon entry. Failure to comply may result in denial of entry without a refund.

Please be aware that certain items are not permitted in the event area. The list of prohibited items includes, but is not limited to:

• Aerosol cans (except for sunscreen, sunblock, hand sanitiser, and bug spray)
• Collapsible chairs
• Confederate flag displays
• Dry ice
• Firearms
• Fireworks, noisemakers, and air horns
• Frisbees, balloons, beach balls, or any other projectile
• Glass or ceramic items of any kind
• Illegal substances of any kind
• Knives longer than 3 inches (when closed) or longer than 6 inches (when open)
• Laser pointers
• Metal components on seat cushions
• Obscene or indecent clothing
• Selfie sticks
• Skateboards, hoverboards, roller skates, bicycles, or scooters
• Tripods and monopods
• Umbrellas
• Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), also known as drones
• Utility tools (multi-purpose tools) with a knife blade longer than 3 inches
• Wagons
• Hard-sided coolers (Styrofoam, plastic, metal, etc.)

WHAT CAN YOU BRING WITH YOU?

For a smooth experience at NASCAR events, we recommend that visitors travel light and bring only the essentials. Be sure to pack important items such as money, your phone, a spare camera battery, and of course, tickets for each specific day. Don’t forget to carry valid identification for yourself and any children accompanying you.

The following items are allowed into the event area:

• One clear bag or backpack (maximum size 18" x 18" x 14")
• One soft-sided cooler (maximum size 14" x 14" x 14")
• One clutch bag or fanny pack (maximum size 4.5" x 6.5")
• Non-professional cameras
• Binoculars
• Insulated cups
• Service animals
• Strollers
• Your food and drinks (including alcohol), as long as they are packed in a clear bag or cooler
